We believe that changing the way we produce and distribute food is fundamental to solving the world’s most pressing social and ecological problems.
I am Ollie, a first-generation farmer who is embarking on an exciting new chapter in my life. My farming journey began in 2017 when I first discovered the joy of tasting and appreciating quality food grown in harmony with nature.
Since then, I have been on a mission to learn as much as I can about sustainable farming practices. I have sought out knowledge from young and experienced, organic and conventional farmers, both at home and abroad. My goal is to take what I have learned and put it into practice to deliver healthy, organic produce to my local community.
In 2022, I had the opportunity to start farming on 3 vergees (1.5 acres) of family land in St. Johns. This is where I am now putting my knowledge and passion into action, determined to build a thriving, profitable small-scale farm.
I am thrilled to be joined in this endeavour by my equally enthusiastic girlfriend, Chloe, who will be lending her support during the summer months. Together, we are eager to continue learning and growing, both as individuals and as farmers.
This is just the beginning of our farming adventure, and we can't wait to share our journey with you. Stay tuned!
We pay our suppliers at least 50% of the retail value for any products we buy in, and when dealing with wholesalers, we check to make sure they pay fair prices to their growers.
Local food supports local economies. Food grown in the local community supports local jobs and encourages variety in our diets. It also requires less transportation, so it's fresher and has a smaller environmental footprint.
